Welcome to the club

Until March 1999 the RAF Waddington ARC held it's meetings at RAF Waddington, 5 miles south of Lincoln Cathedral. With the large expansion of air base personnel, room became a premium on-site and numerous RAF clubs had to move off-site. The new location of the club is at the Pyewipe Inn, 2 miles west of Lincoln Cathedral.A dedicated few built a new 20sq metre shack within the Pyewipe's grounds And for the first time in many years an abundance of space was available for the erection of many antennae.

The club is open to all who are interested in amateur radio as a hobby or any aspect of radio communication whether ex-service or not. There is a dedicated club room and antennae to communicate in all modes to any part of the world. Club meetings are held on Thursday night from 7:30 pm

A number of awards have already been gained.

The club is equiped ready for the HF bands. On the 160, 80 and 40 metre bands, dipoles at 80 ft in the air are in operation as well as a beam antenna for the 20, 15 and 10 metre bands. On top is a 2m 10XY antenna followed by a 2m & 70cm Co-linear. There is also a loop in use for 80mtr contacts.
